Vulnerability Assessment

Vulnerability assessment is the process of identifying, quantifying, and prioritizing vulnerabilities in any given system. This is done so as to address and mitigate priority vulnerabilities. Unlike penatration testing, vulnerability testing is passive in nature.

If we are doing Penetration Testing we are engaged in actively attacking the network and systems on that network. We will be trying to mimic a hacker and gain access through one of the vulnerabilities in your network. Pen testing is more invasive as we will be trying to actively take control of devices on your network
